Jay Vacchani, an audiology student at Rush and ILAA scholarship winner, received the 2011 James Jerger Award for Excellence in Student Research at AudiologyNOW.
Each year, the James Jerger Awards for Excellence in Student Research is given to four student who display their research posters at AudiologyNOW! Vachhani was recognized for his outstanding research and awarded $500 from the American Academy of Audiology Foundation. James Jerger, PhD, founded the American Academy of Audiology in 1988 to promote the audiology profession through leadership, advocacy, education, public awareness and support of research.
